What is the best way to finance a motorcycle without having to purchase full coverage insurance?

Erik asked:

OK, here is my dilemma. I have excellent credit but most banks seem to have a set interest rate for personal loans around 15%. If I finance the bike with a motorcycle loan my payments will be less but I have to have full coverage on the bike which is about $280 more per month. I’m only looking to spend around 6K. Give me some ideas.

JoeB asked:

I’m looking to do some major rennovations on my house and figuring out the best way to finance it has been racking my brain. I just can’t figure out the pros cons between refinancing, 2nd mortgages, home equity line of credits, etc.

A little background on the house, It is located in North NJ in a very high demand area. I bought the house over 6 years ago for $215k, it’s currently valued around $380k. Our current Mortgage is around $175k. I estimate my renovation to cost around $200k-$250k. We plan to be in this house for a long time. We’re looking to add a 2 car garage, extending the living room, redoing the kitchen and adding a master bedroom.

any advice on what direction I should head in and pifalls to look out for would be greatly appreciated.

Ali R asked:

I want to work in investment banking/ finance after college, and was wondering if Computer Science would be a good quantitative major for an undergraduate degree.

Ultimately, I want to get an MBA right after or at least a Masters of Finance degree before I start working.

Financial analysts and others working in Finance-what kind of job did you have when you first started working?

NT asked:

I’m working part time (35 hours a week) as a bookkeeper and tax analyst and still have a few more classes to take until I graduate with a finance degree. Is bookkeeping and tax analyzing good to put on my resume before I graduate and apply for a financial analyst position or should I seek another job?

I’ve tried searching for an internship, but they’re all too far from where I live and go to school. Would bookkeeping and tax analyzing look good on my resume?

Thanks!

I want to apply to Oxford, but there’s no way to finance my education since I’m going to be an international student. My family’s far from rich. It’d be easier to just stay in the US where I can get aid, but if I actually do get accepted, how would I finance it?

I think most car dealerships can finance anyone as long as you can show a pay stub. Is this true? Can you have defaulted student loans and tax liens and still be financed for a car?
